I am very happy, it is spring and most of all I am
crocheting again!!!! The last 18 months
were a difficult time for me as my mother was experiencing a difficult time
with Alzheimer’s and took up a lot of time.
Sadly, she died the beginning of July at 89 years, it was a beautiful
peaceful passing and we are all grateful for that. She had a good life. Things
are becoming normal again, Yay! So, you will see more of me again, lol!
My focus in crochet has changed a lot, I am in love with
quick projects, baby clothes, amigurumi, Washcloths etc. No more blankets for the moment, I may finish
some that are lurking in the cupboards, but my feeling is that they can stay
there for the summer!
Today I should be mowing the lawns, they are getting
rather long, (I hate that first cut of spring!). But crochet and the sun spoke to me and I
have whiled away some time, sitting in the porch making hearts and hedgehog
pincushions. I stopped because I do need
to do the lawn as it is going to rain tomorrow and then I will have to wait
till they are dry again meanwhile they are still growing a pace. However, I thought I would write a quick post
to show willing, (diversion tactics at work here me thinks). I have been trying to do all week, but time
slips away.
Here are some examples of crochet I have completed in the
last couple of weeks
Rose Teddy
squeezy crdi and Lisha Hat
itty bitty turtles
potholder
|
Now I must do those lawns or at least start on them!
Have a wonder day where ever you are and see you soon.

You have been busy creating Zana ... everything looks so lovely. I do love your crocheting. That is a beautiful photo of your Mum - she looked like she had a real zest for life. Its so very difficult to watch our parents age & get illnesses etc ... Life can throw us some real curve balls at times. I am glad you are back blogging again & look forward to your posts when time allows.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of your Mum, such a beautiful smile. Lovely to catch up and see your wonderful creations. Take care.

ReplyDeleteYour crochet is lovely! My daughter loves to crochet amigurumi and has done several. I prefer knitting to crochet.
