I love CALs
they stop me from racing ahead, give me time to ponder. I have completed two more rounds of Kate's Cal Mini Rings of Change.
I was going
to do the Moogly 2015 Cal blanket, but when I saw the first square I decided
not to as it was very fussy, and looked very difficult. However when I was reading Kates post today
she had done an alternate square that was rather nice! So what to do? I had already decided to do a blanket using
Cherry Heart’s Vintage blanket using Jan Eaton’s book of 200 blocks as
inspiration.
I rather like them and will keep on with
it. However I think I will keep an eye
out on the Moogly Squares and see how they go.
Following
the rules, I have to : follow the blog who nominated me, answer to 5
questions and nominate 10 blogs.
The
questions -
1 What would you change in your current
situation? Nothing!
2 What you do not forgive? Lying
3 What would your perfect
disguise? Dark glasses they say the
eyes are the window to your soul!
4 Do you believe in eternal love or
is it a fairy tale ? Love with capital
letters.
5 An important song in
your life. Lady in Red can’t recall who sings it!
The blogs-
The * marks
NZ blogs.
The cats
are in hiding today, as it has been rather noisy here today.
Ambrose
hiding down the back in my wild area!
Lucy has
been deep in hiding and just come out for dinner.
Peggy Sue
is staying under the bed. She is a nervous cat, she was a rescue kitten and I
am sure she was maltreated as she hates loud noises and children! She will come out when it is dark.
Why the
noise? It is Wings Over Wairarapa Air Show this
weekend and the jets, biplanes, etc have been screeching above the town today.

But I won’t
let it distract me like a couple of years ago, I was watching planes doing
loops while I was pruning some bushes and partially cut off the tip of my little
finger! Spending the rest of the day in A&E. So there will be no pruning this
weekend! Hopefully, lots of crafting, LOL
.
Have a great Weekend.

Your squares are beautiful, a delightful pattern and great colours.
ReplyDeleteHi Zana, thanks for nominating me for the award, but I will politely decline if that's okay. As nice as it is to be thought worthy they just remind of those chain letters I used to get in the post years ago and I threw them in the bin. Anyway thanks again, they do have an upside, we get to find things out about people and it's a way of sharing other peoples blogs. I love the first pic, that's so gorgeous. I know someone who lives down you way and he mentioned today about the air show, they fly over his place quite a bit. Great to see it for free eh lol.
ReplyDeleteZana, what lovely squares you have crocheted. Your stitches are so perfect! I winced when I read that you cut off the tip of your finger. Yikes! I'll bet that hurt. I recently hit my finger with a hammer, and it still isn't back to normal.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful squares !!!!
ReplyDeleteThe singer was Chris DeBurgh...
Have a nice weekend !
Anna
Lovely to read a bit more about you. I love your squares and your rings of change. I went and got the pattern, but I don't know if I will make it considering how many other things I have on the go! Your colours are beautiful together, one of the nicest that I have seen. xx
ReplyDeleteGreat progress! Love your colors. I hope you try the Moogly CAL again, although I like your other CAL, too. I don't have that book, but it keeps popping up in blogland. I may have to get a copy. Thank you so much the award! Blog awards are so fun; I'll be working on a post about it soon. Love all your kitties :-)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful squares!
ReplyDeleteSad for your cat,I know how.:(
Have a great weekend.:*
Your mini rings is looking lovely zana I like your colour choices and I do like that block too, I had decided to use that one too but I think I would get bored using just one type of block for the whole blanket even though it's beautiful. Good luck with the Moogly block. :) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, I would get bored too! I am planning to use about 25 to 30 different squares.
DeleteOuch def avoid pruning!
ReplyDeleteI might join I the CAL, thanks for sharing that, and your squares are really pretty. Have a fab weekend !
